In 1984 Gertrude Duby established the Na Bolom Cultural Association, to whom she bequeathed all her heritage assets. Constituted by an Assembly of partners that look after the legacy of its founders, Na Bolom has maintained six regular programs for the cultural and environmental heritage of the people of Chiapas in the highlands and jungle. Lacandon health care, raising funds for cultural and environmental conservation programs and the formation of economically autonomous groups have been the subject of research and community work programs that have not ceased since the Bloms lived .
The Association has maintained the heritage and has increased it with the acquisition of the house of La Enseñanza in San Cristóbal de Las Casas; It has generated the reproductive health program, has created its own method of comprehensive care for communities, and has promoted numerous development projects.
