The content of the photographic archive is due to the production of the founding anthropologist of Na Bolom, the Swiss Gertrude Duby, from 1943 until almost the end of her life in the 90's. The collection also houses material produced by the archaeologist Frans Blom from 1922 to 1957; It also has the donation of Marcey Jacobson, who in its 15 years of production generated 14 thousand negatives. The archive has around 50 thousand negatives. The central themes are: Lacandona Jungle, Archeology, Landscapes and activities in San Cristóbal de Las Casas.
The contained photography gives an overview of the twentieth century in Chiapas, its transformations, its life and its people.
